SoTh develops the student’s ability to read Scripture carefully, understand the development of Christian thought, think theologically and communicate a reasoned defence of the faith.

What you will study

The programme progresses from Scripture and interpretation to biblical, historical and systematic theology, before concluding with advanced apologetics.

The nature of revelation and Scripture, biblical interpretation and the foundations of apologetics.

Canonicity

Explores the recognition and formation of the biblical canon and the principles by which the Church received the books of Scripture.

Introduces sound principles for interpreting biblical texts in their literary, historical and theological contexts.
